Why is my bust dart so big?
People keep asking me why the bust darts in my patterns are so much larger than what you're used to seeing in ready-made garments or commercial patterns. I'll go into that a bit here.

To briefly summarize the video: There’s no one-size-fits-all method for creating sewing patterns. That’s why details can always vary slightly. It’s entirely possible that my program will generate a bust dart that’s unusually large for you. But that doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing. For one thing, ready-to-wear clothing and most sewing patterns are based on a B-cup. If you have a larger bust size, your bust dart will naturally be larger as well. The width of the bodice is also an important factor. For me, it’s based on my bust measurement and can therefore be wider than in store-bought clothing, where the front and back are often adjusted to match. The dart is thus longer and appears larger at the sides.
So far, it’s always been the case that the same people who asked me about the bust dart have gotten back to me later saying, “Wow, I’m so glad I tried this! I’ve never had a top that fit so well!” :D
