The pattern is relatively simple, with no seam allowances, is lined, and offers several collar options plus a hood. You can choose between a zipper and buttons for the closure.

Unfortunately, I don’t have an instructional video ready yet, but if you need help with the lining or the pockets, my coat playlist should definitely be helpful.

Basic form

You might want to change this option if you want to put in a zipper of a certain length. Remember that the length cannot be shorter than hip level. Tip: add about 2 cm to zipper length to have a bit of wiggle room.

This setting defines the amount of ease. The higher the number, the more ease is added to the body measurements.

Neckline finnish

Distance between neck and neckline on one side, without neckband.

Distance between neck and neckline on the front, without neckband.

Distance between neck and neckline on the back, without neckband.

For this option, the following settings are recommanded:

Wrist scope addition 10 cm
Sleeve length extension 0 cm

High sleeve head: small fit at upper arm. For stretchy fabric like jersey only.
Medium high sleeve head: looser fit. For jersey, thicker knits or sweat.
Flat sleeve head: wide fit. All sort of fabrics.

The sleeve head is spread by this amount. This will lead to a larger sleeve head scope, which will need to be gathered to fit into the armscye.

The sleeve is drawn wider as the cuff by this amount. The cuff needs to be stretched while sewing.

The value defines the depth of the armhole. Increasing this value will increase the width of the upper sleeve and also the bust width. Smaller values may increase movement.

Want some more poof above the cuff? You can also set this option and add some elastic to the wrist.
