Would you like to create your own sewing pattern? This kit is the perfect starting point!

This pattern kit is designed to provide you with a basic pattern for creating your own sewing patterns. You can choose basic elements like darts and sleeve styles; the rest is entirely up to you.

The pattern can be divided into a bodice and a skirt. The skirt gets drafted with the same ease as the bodice and is therefore only suitable as the bottom half of a dress. If you’re just looking for a basic skirt pattern, you’ll find it in the Basic Skirt Pattern Kit. 

This sewing pattern is free for your personal use. Please note that commercial use is not allowed.

Basic form

This option changes how the back piece grid is constructed. Using the high back width it's base can make the shoulders more comfortable. For knit patterns, this is usually not necessary.

This setting defines the amount of ease. The higher the number, the more ease is added to the body measurements.

For this option, the following settings are recommanded:

Distance between armpit and armhole 3 cm

Do you want to apply these settings?

High sleeve head: small fit at upper arm. For stretchy fabric like jersey only.
Medium high sleeve head: looser fit. For jersey, thicker knits or sweat.
Flat sleeve head: wide fit. All sort of fabrics.

The value defines the depth of the armhole. Increasing this value will increase the width of the upper sleeve and also the bust width. Smaller values may increase movement.
