Let's bring back capes!

Capes are great, don't you think? Why do you see them so rarely?

This pattern is a great option if you're not quite ready to tackle a coat. Or if you just love capes. ;)

Hi! I love the patterns you've created and that you're willing to share them for free! I'm so excited to try one.

I created a personal measurement set and uploaded it, but something strange happens when I generate a pattern. The front shoulder seam ends up very spiky and there's almost no armscye on the front. Can you tell me what measurement affects this and what I need to double check?

Thank you!
Hm, I cannot really picture that. Could you upload a screenshot from the pattern somewhere?

Thanks so much for being willing to look at it! I uploaded the PDF to Google drive here: [Link removed for privacy]
Ok, I think the problem are front and back length. Your back length is larger than the front length, that cannot be. Please make sure to measure over the bust in the front.

Also I would recommand testing your measurements on a more simple garment than a princessline dress, like a simple blouse with darts.
