Can you use a pattern designed for woven fabric to sew with knit fabrics?
As a general rule, it’s a good idea to follow the fabric recommendations listed on a sewing pattern. There’s a reason they’re recommended. But with a little background knowledge, you can always bend the rules a bit.

Does the pattern need a closure?
Cuffs work only on knitted fabrics, while facings work only on woven fabrics.
Keep in mind that narrow sleeves work only on stretchy fabrics.
