Let's chat about my journey to become a sewist and pattern creator. I will also show you how my pattern software looks under the surface. This is not a tutorial, just a "Look, that's how I do it".
Bags were my first sewing love. It was high time for a new handbag! This one is big enough for my laptop and comes with two zippers and a lot of additional pockets.
I admit, I was very close to throwing this pattern into the bin more than once. ^_^° The shoulders were a bit tricky, but I think I found a good solution.
Here we have another vintage-inspired dress, this time with gatheres at the shoulders and paneled skirt.
Summer doesn't really want to get going yet. I can now add a little extra warmth to my latest summer dress with a bolero. The remaining fabric was just enough for that.
So, here's another full-size dress. For my summer wardrobe this year, I'm drawing inspiration from old vintage patterns, mainly from the American 1940s and 1950s.
The patterns are realised with my modern basic patterns, so they are not direct reproductions.
I'm starting with a dress with a shawl collar and a skirt with inset side panels cut on the bias.
